The Second Day at Shiloh

Early on April 6th, 1862 two titan armies clashed in the underbush and broken ground near a log cabin named Shiloh. The two combatants slugged at one another for two long days until silence returned to the small fields cut from the countryside. The fighting near the steamboat landing changed much in the heartland of the Confederacy. This is the saga of the second day of the battle.
